The Party camped on the Mountain top. Examining the castle surrounds, they noted that the carvings and architecture is Elven in nature. Due to the elements on the mountain top, they all are feeling fatigued apart from Zorron.
Standing before the gates, the party feel disorientated by the view. The White stone Castle is in ruins. Once beautiful gardens are overgrown. As they enter the castle, the party spy Eaglarti, and a lot of them – 5 of them! As the five relatively inexperienced younglings are easily despatched, another 7, bigger and stronger, fly over the locked entrance gate. Resisting nets and dodging Javelins, the Stormbearers overcome them. Finding a key on the leader, Trym opens the gate into a large courtyard that with a broken marble staircase leading inside, and an overgrown garden that was once a glorious in nature, with a fountain as a central feature.
The broken fountain has 2 shadowy forms in the form of Air Elementals (Airdancers) dancing around it. For some reason Kildrake launches himself into the fountain, and is hurled 50 feet into the air and slammed down, damaging him significantly, and startling the Airdancers.
Squall walks into the clearing swinging his axe and telling them to leave this area that is “a place of the flesh", momentarily distracting them. Kildrake undoes the Airdancers uncertainty to talk them down after breathing lightning on one of them. As the battle is joined, Ereborn strides in and commands one to flee, which is successful. Zorron follows up with a vicious mockery, Ereborn with a Sacred Flame attack as Zorgar is dumped with a whirlwind attack across the courtyard, unconscious and bleeding. The second one reappears As Ereborn runs across the courtyard to stabilise Zorgar’s wounds, Squall cuts the first one down.
Kildrake and Squall move in and attack the second, as Zorgar clings to life. Ereborn manages to stabilise and heal him, as he clung to life and could have been close to death!
After besting the second Airdancer, the party heal up and decide to take a long rest, in preparation for what could possibly come next…..
